Globally active steel wholesaler

Our client is a leading global supplier and wholesaler of integrated steel solutions with a broad range of products and expertise in steel.

We are looking for a Sales Manager (m/f/div) who will be responsible for the development of the flat steel trading business in the German market.
The ideal candidate (m/f/div) will be based out of his/her home office in Germany.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Develop markets and customers in Germany
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and objectives to achieve sustainable market share growth, improve sales performance and maximize sales revenue
  • Establish contact with steel customers
  • Business reception and negotiation, provide solutions and products to customers, confirm logistics and supply plans
  • Manage and cooperate with contract implementation, and provide after-sales service guarantee
  • Confirm the capital demand, determine the capital plan, and confirm the customer's payment collection
  • Maintain effective customer relations, meet customer needs
  • Actively promote quality purchasing resources, and facilitate the transaction of orders

Ihr Profil

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, international trade, finance, metallurgy or equivalent background preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, familiar with international trade
  • Strong international sales management experience with proven results in meeting sales goals
  • Knowledge of steel products and resources, and understanding of the requirements and complexities of the steel trade industry
  • possessing regional customer bases or regional mill sources
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and reporting skills in English
  • Excellent business negotiation and conflict management skills, ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Good at building relationships
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to understand client’s needs and present solutions

The candidate (m/f/div) must have solid time management skills and be a self-motivated, ambitious, results driven professional with self-confidence and discipline and the ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment.
